CHARISM AND SPIRITUALITY
Our charism as the Sisters of the Child Jesus is "Apostolic Service", lived out among our own people.
We anchor our service in the Gospel of Luke 4:18–19:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has chosen me to bring the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind; to set free the oppressed and announce that the time has come when the Lord will save his people."
We are called to minister to and evangelize our own people. In the words of our founder, Bishop Étienne Larue, the aim of the congregation is to bring about God’s glory by dedicating ourselves to the salvation of our own souls and all the people of God.
Spirituality
Our spirituality is Spiritual Childhood, lived out through apostolic service. We are called to relate to the Father with total trust and confidence in God. Our spirit of simplicity is expressed in welcoming all, being available, and showing hospitality.
