Our Charism — Apostolic Service
Our Charism as Sisters of the Child Jesus is "Apostolic Service" lived out among our own people.
We are anchoring our service on the gospel of Luke 4:18-19:
"The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has chosen me to bring the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind; to set free the oppressed and announce that the time has come when the Lord will save his people."
We are called to minister and evangelise our own people. The aim of the congregation in the words of our Father founder, Bishop Etienne Larue, is to bring about God's glory, by dedicating ourselves to the salvation of our own souls and all people of God.
Our Spirituality — Spiritual Childhood
Our Spirituality is "Spiritual Childhood" which is lived out in apostolic service. We share in Jesus' relating to the Father with total trust and confidence in God.
Our spirit of simplicity is to be shown in welcoming all, being available and hospitable.
